Hometown, I do think Malvern is my hometown, those are the streets I walked when I was learning to walk. In my hometown, it’s where memories are created, and friendship, family, and laughter never end. The town that I love the most, it gives me peace of mind, there are parks with big trees and dams.
Malvern is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. Situated east of the Johannesburg CBD, it lies south of Kensington and north of the industrial suburb of Denver. It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality and lies just west of Bedfordview in the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. Prior to the discovery of gold on the Witwatersrand in 1886, the suburb lay on land on one of the original farms that make up Johannesburg, called Doornfontein. The area is named after Malvern or Malvern Hills in Worcestershire with the land proclaimed as a suburb on 24 June 1904. It was previously called Morriston Malvern over the years has turned out to be known for the 2nd hand car dealerships which can be observed all along Jules Street. Also known for its public swimming pool tucked away in a little side street is well maintained with a beautiful lawn area.
Malverntown has a nice public health center where most authorities and medical doctors attend to those who are sick. In the health center, they provide good service and they take care of their patients in a good way. Of course, the health facility is often overcrowded and suitable drugs are in quick supply. In addition, the municipality tries to keep the township clean all the time and most people do community service to help the town stay clean. During community service, people get to know each, and some have similar interests that may create new connections. In the future, these people might support each other and help others when they are in need. Volunteering helps practice and develop social skills. Volunteering as a group with friends or family boosts relationships with each other as they collaborate in teamwork. It also improves teamwork in general working with. Doing community service improve the well-being of people and help them fighting stress, and anxiety, and even in combating depression.
In conclusion, the benefits also exist to create positive changes in my hometown. People learn to love and appreciate each other being human is a virtue. Volunteering teaches skills and offers life experience and satisfaction that comes with being an involved member of society
