This shows that not only is affecting the people of Birmingham, but it is also affecting Martin Luther Kings personal life, and wants there to be a change for everyone.

In conclusion, whatever affects an individual in a society will cause everyone to fight for change as it can later affect them if they stand by and do nothing. This demonstrates that without any action being taken, 100 years down the road African Americans will still be segregated in their own land without any rights. In addition, the speaker mentions It would not be good for the nation to not see& the importance of the moment. (Newsela, 1). This shows that the U.S. and its citizens cannot overlook the lives of these African Americans as they are suffering injustices. The speech also mentions African Americans cannot be satisfied until& their children are given the rights and dignity they deserve& not stripped of their dignity by signs which say for whites only. (Newsela, 1). This argues that anyone with a sense of morality will help the lives of these African Americans who suffer from brutality endlessly. A person with an honest and kind whole heart will understand the importance of an African American suffering from violence.
