It is necessary to have rest zones in each educational institution, isnt it? But is rest zones really consistent with its name in many universities of our country? The second year I am watching students of my university who cant spend their leisure time between classes with pleasure. Nearly every day I have this problem too. Usually it happens when I wait for my classes for a long time. I am tired. I can have a rest only on the first floor. But I seldom have this opportunity. My university has a lot of huge places on each floor and, I think, these halls should be used for students comfortable. There are high ceilings and big windows in the halls with elevators and a cloakroom. These places arent used in students studying process at all. And we can see such situations in another universities and colleges in our country. Let’s look at rest zones that can be good illustrations for us.

Firstly, we can see interesting interiors in Barnaul branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation. The students of this university like its design. Interiors create a good mood and help students study. Students feel like at home, thats why they study with pleasure.

The second example is a library of Northwestern University in Qatar. It is a real modern castle. There is a lot of space for students independent work inside the building. Everything is stylish and beautiful there. Students of our country can have a good library too, because they are very talented and open to new knowledge, but sometimes, they need more support from the universities for their development. New teaching methods say that a good interior contributes to good learning, it motivates students to work.

And the third example is an Open space school in Denmark. This place isnt divided into separate classrooms. Pupils study in one large room. And all this room is the gymnasium building. The free atmosphere there helps generate ideas and feel comfortable. Pupils lie on huge colored pillows, rest from study, look at the ceiling with lamps. A lot of people proud of Denmark Open space school.

These examples prove that it is necessary to do areas for students independent work. That is why we need to put big tables, chairs and sofas with coffee tables. Here students can do their homework, help their friends with difficult questions and so on. They can wait for their classes, read books, communicate with each other, make friends and relax. In rest zones everybody will want to see clocks, beautiful plants and shelves with interesting books. Such goods make students happy and peaceful.

So, students would be able to do important things and to communicate with each other, instead of sitting on the floor and watching over their classmates bags. When changes reach our universities, everybody will want to stay at the universities as long, as possible, study will be more interesting and exciting, students will study better. The institutes ratings will be upgraded. It proves that design makes the world better, anytime and everywhere!
