The theory is vital in every business, process, or activity. It provides the initial knowledge, experience, and theoretical characteristics that a person must have to act. With the help of theory, a person learns the initial stages of any business, which, in consequence, plunge him into the depths of his existence. This paper establishes the importance of theory in research, defines theory in healthcare, and demonstrates my example of creating teamwork to reduce HAC.

The Role of Theory in Research

A scientific theory is the highest, most developed form of organization of scientific knowledge, which gives a holistic view of the patterns and essential connections of a particular area of reality. The theory is an instrument of deductive and inductive systematization of scientific facts. It helps us build frameworks to develop schools of thought and formulate ideologies (Mngadi, 2018). The main task of the theory is to establish patterns of facts from a particular subject area. Euclids geometry, Newtons mechanics, Darwins theory of evolution, and others can serve as examples of ideas.

My theory of the medical discipline is the idea of the diseases of civilization. This theory is that current conditions lead to increased psychos, drug addiction, alcoholism, and cardiovascular and endocrine diseases. In many economically developed countries, these diseases are most common. The fact is that humanity initially perceives some rhythms of life, and the current civilization imposes completely different ones. Thus, social maladaptation is inevitable and will occur in any society of our era.

Nevertheless, I am excellent with the world and the people around me with this theory in mind. Moreover, this theory correlates with my philosophical orientation, reflecting my view of the world. The problem lies not in the individual but the monotonous, long-term evolution of the human species and, as already mentioned, in the development of civilization. I believe that humanity is on the right path, and in a thousand or several thousand years, we will become perfect forms of ourselves.

A surgical site infection (SSI) is an infection of the part of the body where the surgery was performed. There are two types of SSI: superficial and deep. Superficial SSIs affect only the skin, while deep SSIs can involve internal organs and subcutaneous tissues. Most SSIs can be treated with antibiotics, but sometimes it is necessary to perform the surgery to cure a patient (Frequently Asked Questions About Surgical Site Infections, 2019). Based on the definition of SSI, it is possible to determine the main methods of dealing with them:

  1. The use of hypoallergenic liquid soap for hygienic washing of hands and body.
  2. The use of skin antiseptic for hygienic treatment of hands.
  3. The use of high-speed disinfectants for surface treatment and surgical instruments.

Analyzing this SSI prevention framework, I would like to see responsible, reliable, committed, and conscientious people in my team that I can rely on. Helping and treating people is directly related to responsibility, so they could help our team fulfill all the necessary conditions for treatment. I would approach working on a team by setting the special rules in the working process:

  1. Each member of our team is required to keep records of their actions. Each action must be entered into the personal account on the companys website and justified.
  2. When performing any actions with patients, a member of our team must be confident in them. In case of doubt about this action, they need to be consulted for clarification.
  3. Everyone is obliged to do their job conscientiously and efficiently to do everything possible to benefit people.

Thus, by observing all the rules, our team can do everything to help people.
